For the more advanced students who love to perform on stage, Lana’s Dance Studio has their award winning competition teams that were established in 1980. We have Tap, Jazz & Lyrical competition teams under the direction of Lana Wright & Leila Wright Bobzien, as well as our Hip Hop team, under the direction of Kara Richey & Chloe Townsend. Students must have a minimum of three years dance experience to audition for our teams. Auditions are held in May for the following year. Our Alumni have gone onto many successful careers on Broadway, Music Videos, Cruise Ships, The Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, National Tours with Taylor Swift, Gwen Stefani and Ricky Martin. Many have danced for teams such as the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, San Francisco 49ers GoldRush, San Diego Chargers Girls, Oakland Raiderettes, San Jose SaberKittens and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. We are so proud of the prestigious colleges many of our dancers attend and graduate from with honors and exciting careers ahead of them.
